I realize that I don't know as many of you all as I thought I did. Someday, perhaps after I grade my exams, I will read everybody's LJ, but for now I'd really love to get to know you better -- in a way that requires less effort on my part. So, how's about it? Also, should I review more books or fewer? What about music and movies? I'm unbudgeable on the fic, so those of you who aren't here for that are just going to have to skip it.

ETA: Specific questions about you:

What do you like to talk about?

I'm guessing we're mostly media fans, so what are your fandoms?

Would Superman take Batman, or would Batman beat Superman? (I have a very strong opinion on the latter.)

Hey there! I remember you! I'm not a big fan of U2 or a big hater; two debaters on my HS team used to play "Sunday, Bloody Sunday" to get hyped for Sun. morning elimination rounds, which has left me with a vague sense that U2 is not to be taken seriously -- also, the Pet Shop Boys "Where the Streets Have No Name" helped with that impression.

Anyway, good to hear from you.

Heh. I love that PSB song. Most of my online U2 pals think it's the most offensive thing ever. There's that whole U2 thing -- they were too serious, then they did the whole "Look at us! Dig our irony! Whee!" Zoo TV tour, then the bizarre Popmart tour that apparently even confused them, and now we're at the Elevation era: "We'd like to apologize for Rattle and Hum, but now we're back -- just like we used to be, back to our roots, but we can laugh at ourselves now. We smile a lot more."

Ahh, I love a band with a good storyline. *g*

Oh, I should have added earlier: I'm not all-U2 all the time. Most of what I usually chatter about revolves around pop culture, especially American Idol, the only reality show I watch. There. That's me in a handbag.
