I realize that I don't know as many of you all as I thought I did. Someday, perhaps after I grade my exams, I will read everybody's LJ, but for now I'd really love to get to know you better -- in a way that requires less effort on my part. So, how's about it? Also, should I review more books or fewer? What about music and movies? I'm unbudgeable on the fic, so those of you who aren't here for that are just going to have to skip it.

ETA: Specific questions about you:

What do you like to talk about?

I'm guessing we're mostly media fans, so what are your fandoms?

Would Superman take Batman, or would Batman beat Superman? (I have a very strong opinion on the latter.)

Whew! You've lapped me several times, fandomwise. I think I'm lucky that I avoided anime somehow, because I'd never get anything done if I had any more pretty things to watch.

Lex would never forgive Superman; in fact, I'm pretty sure Lex would rather have him dead than fucking another morally ambiguous billionaire.

Whew! You've lapped me several times, fandomwise.

It's kind of an interesting thing... it allows me to interact with a lot of cool people that I'd be missing out on if I stuck with just a couple of fandoms, but on the other hand, I feel my participation in a lot of them is often shallow. Relatedly, I vid more than I write, which is a huge commitment of time and effort from me for a mere 3 minutes of enjoyment for everyone else.

I think I'm lucky that I avoided anime somehow, because I'd never get anything done if I had any more pretty things to watch.

I've tried to keep my anime-watching to a minimum. I'm one of those philistines who'll listen to the dubbing, and I slash, I don't do yaoi, and there's apparently different rules for vidding anime that I missed the boat on... so basically, the otaku contingent thinks I'm a moron. I keep trying not to get hooked on anime, but... well... everyone's gay in Utena. And I mean that canonically. *grinning* Plus, genderbending. And loads of pretty. Gay sexcapades in the middle of the student council meetings. And, um. *laugh* But I keep swearing, no more anime. Nothing else...

Lex would never forgive Superman; in fact, I'm pretty sure Lex would rather have him dead than fucking another morally ambiguous billionaire.

"But, Lex! He was going to kill me!"

"You should have asked for my help. I could have taken him out."

"But Lex! I didn't want to kill him! He's one of the good guys!"

"You are such a moron. Why am I sleeping with you again?"

"Because I'm pretty and I saved your life when I was fifteen?"

"Oh, yeah. That. What was wrong with the truck, again?"

Ha! And then, after Clark sleeps the sleep of the well-laid, Lex goes out and shoots Bruce with a sniper rifle because he knows better than to go hand to hand.

(Hmm, how ironic. I just received a virus email from supposedly-you. Probably one of your friends is infected. Stupid viruses...)

Oops! As I understand it, some of these viruses can look at your documents & harvest email addresses from them, so it could be anyone who ever saved a story *or* ever emailed me. The first time I got one from *myself*, I realized that I probably didn't need to apologize to people who got those attachments under my name. My computer (knock wood) has never been infected. Macs are good that way.
