In other news, I enjoyed this article about porcupine sex and this piece on gay hookups online. From the latter: “I always want to ask one of those ‘No Asians!’ guys: if you were a baby and accidentally fell from a plane and landed safely in the middle of Mongolia and were raised by a nomadic Mongolian tribe, does that mean you would have grown up not being attracted to anyone?”
Poison pen review of Nassim Taleb’s most recent book: “Reading this book is the intellectual equivalent of having to sit patiently while someone shows you their holiday snaps.” Too bad, I did like The Black Swan, but his self-love was already quite apparent.
