I love my new icon, from yahtzee63. When I was in college, reading a state supreme court decision striking down the state's sodomy law brought me to tears. I was so proud to be an American. There's a good argument that I should instead want to be a Canadian, but I believe we can get it right.

Also, welcome iocaste, whose life story is disturbingly similar to mine, joining the ranks of fannish lawyers on LJ -- and how neat is it that we have ranks now?

Yes, I'm really sorry I missed it, but conference duty called. And I did see the review -- thanks! I don't know where the light-heartedness came from, but readers seem to enjoy it.
