Unfortunately, I wrote two stories called "Into the Woods" in two different fandoms, so I can't tell which one sucked. The three-word critique just wasn't sufficient to distinguish them.

This doesn't actually make me feel that I've arrived or anything, but it is certainly different.

Into the Woods

Just read 'em both, and.....

The Smallville one is an insight piece on a character I don't care about, on a show I occasionally watch and in a fandom I rarely read. Still, it gets under my skin.

I'm not a M/S shipper, but for a pairing I'm not fond of the X-Files one wasn't bad. Anyway, in neither of these stories can I find suckitude. Sorry I couldn't help pin down which one your flamer meant. ::g::

I don't actually like Lana either, but I did like the fairytale aspects; I'm glad it worked for you as much as it could under the circumstances. MSR was my first obsession once I got into online fandom, though that sex scene was pretty much unmotivated, which is why it didn't end up part of the real story.

Oh, and I hope you'll take this in the totally respectful way in which it's intended, but given your expressed preferences compared to the content of this journal I have to wonder -- what are you doing here?

Re: Into the Woods

::giggle:: I wondered that myself when I realized what fandoms you wrote in. At a guess, you probably posted something witty/insightful/humorous in the comments of somebody's LJ, and I friended you to see when you did it again.

It's not like I never read SVfic. And I was impressed with the way you ended the XF "Into the Woods" -- a lot of people would've gone with "OMG! We Must Never Do This Again!" or "Now That We've Discovered Each Other Our Love MUST Be Eternal!" Your ending was more real.
