My Yuletide story is done. I'm deeply dissatisfied, because it's actually just the beginning of a story, but I'd have to wait until *next* Yuletide to get that done. Someday, I want to write the Great American Alien Invasion Novel, but probably not this year. (Yes, it is a fascination of mine. Is that so wrong? Today in B&N I saw a new paperback novel, the conceit being that the government is secretly selling humans as sex slaves to alien races. The cover spiel said that it was the beginning of a new series about slavery, rebellion, and -- not a direct quote, but good enough -- the triumph of the human spirit. I didn't buy it, but now I wonder if I'm not morally required to do so.)

Hee. I clicked on the link, and I just love that Amazon offered to gift-wrap a book on alien sex slaves for me.

And also that the first review starts off with "Not explicit enough."

And I had to chime in with a hearty "me, too" on the whole Yuletide-story-wants-to-be-a-novel thing. I thought I was the only one.
