OK, so it is the X-Files redux, down to Crane/Mulder's eidetic memory and Mills/Scully's need to stand on a box to keep them in the same frame.  I can work with that!

My husband was annoyed by the gun joke, because Crane would've been cashiered for throwing away such a valuable weapon.  Also it played weirder than in the preview--took up too much time for the payoff.  Which isn't to say I'm not really enjoying it all!

Ichabod is so clearly delighted by Abbie, and I do like that he addresses her respectfully, and is seeking to get her to partner with him, rather than trying to educate her on things that she isn't quite willing to accept. Also, that in this last episode, he acknowledged that this was all something he hadn't been expecting either. Plus the fact that he just found out his wife's a witch? He's not some all-knowing figure, he's learning as he goes along, it's just that his points of reference are a bit different than Abbie's.

But yes, I am liking this trend of 'awesome woman and appreciating her awesomeness' that is becoming more prevalent. About time!
