Podfic and another rec!

Etch out a Future of Your Own Design, by anonymous: Real Genius, Mitch/Jordan and then Chris/Mitch, but also about academia and disillusionment—a fantastic sequel to the movie with real pathos in with the humor, and a sweet little crossover tucked away (given the rest of the story, kind of like a hidden bomb, but okay!). I also suspect the author’s field because of the capitalization of the title, but that’s neither here nor there.

What does the capitalization of the title make you suspect? I'm very curious!

That you know how to Bluebook. Or maybe that particular style is not as unique to legal writing as I thought!

Heh, my copyeditor's eye looked at that title and thought, I would have capitalized "out," because I think "etch out" is a phrasal verb there. Other than that (which I suppose is debatable), it's Chicago style as much as it is anything else (I don't know Bluebook, but boy do I know Chicago).

To me the failure to capitalize a preposition under 5 letters speaks of Bluebooking.

But it could also be a case of just not capping prepositions at all. It will be interesting to see what Mystery Author turns out to say!

I loved that Real Genius story, too!

My sweetie didn't love it as much as I did, but he is pretty OTP about his Mitch/Jordan, so I am grudgingly letting him have his own opinion. I thought it was gorgeous, though. :-)

I ship Mitch/Jordan pretty hard too. But the story was respectful of Jordan in a way I could live with!
