Vampire Diaries and Fringe: made up for every ounce of angst about SPN. I'm feeling fannish enough about them, in fact, that if you wanted to prompt me I'd see what I could do, with my usual tortoise-like speed. 

Possibly the nicest thing anyone's ever said about my teaching: a student said that the exam was the most creative one she'd ever taken and that she learned something about the course from taking it. I'm... really pleased by that.

I haven't had a chance to watch the most recent episode, but there is rarely enough Astrid. I'd love to see a snippet of her kicking ass or her discovering a walter-like habit/craving that she's picked up.

Closer to random, I guess, though I do like the song--I am a little compulsive in my music listening habits, in that I have to listen to every song the same number of times, but I therefore try to only keep music that I like a lot. TMI, maybe!

Agree on the SPN-fueled angst. Unfortunately, I have resisted the pull of Vampire Diaries so I have no antidote (though all the good things I hear about pretty brothers and kickass female relationships make it tempting).

What a nice compliment on your exam! Can I ask what your exam was (if it's a trade secret, I understand ;)

Come to the dark side! We have cookies! And yes and yes--the show has (1) serious female Bechdel-test-passing female relationships at it core, (2) a plot that moves rapidly but without abruptness--no monsters of the week while the larger arc cools its heels, and (3) plenty o' eye candy. Especially if you have a thing for arms, as I do, you will not be disappointed.

ETA: it was property. Actually, one of the questions featured Damon, Stefan, and Elena!

I seriously doubt you're still looking for prompts, so definitely feel even more free than I would normally urge to ignore this. I hadn't watched all the TVD eps when you posted this, and you're one of my favorite authors so I figured what the heck. Just in case any of them strike your your fancy. :)

Elena has to deal with the fact the Salvatores owned slaves.

Katherine compelled Stefan to engage in threesomes with her and Damon, but she never resorted to compelling Damon. She didn't have to. Stefan was told not to remember, but Damon can't forget it.

Unlike what they showed onscreen, Stefan was only actually able to convince Damon to feed the first time by drinking from the woman, and then transferring the blood to Damon in a kiss.

I thought of one more - Bonnie's thoughts on her friend's dressing up a confederate soldiers on Founder's Day. Again, feel free to ignore all of these if they don't interest you. :)
