Random stuff I'm thinking about

1. Is it just me, or did Legend of the Seeker kick it up a notch in the past two episodes and start decreasing the pretty:interesting ratio? (While arguably getting prettier, even!)

2. Consider, if you will, that the all-male lawyers at this Texas firm saw nothing wrong with the images appearing on their website. (Possibly triggery for sexual abuse/child abuse.)  I actually believe very strongly that we need defense lawyers who specialize in crimes for which even defending an accused is excoriated—but this isn’t the way to do it.

3. Now for something completely different. I am a technological incompetent with a CMS on my website and a planned move to a new webhost. Anybody have recommendations for cheap assistance doing the move? And by assistance, I mean: somebody to whom I could trust with my site password and have the thing moved? Because the semester is so crazy, we’re probably looking at a move in early 2010.

I'm not sure what you mean by the ratio but I've been really enjoying season 2 and feel like they've improved upon a few aspects of the show. :)

I thought most of the dialogue last season was clunky and unconvincing, and the plots were so broad that I didn't care about the monsters/problems of the week, but I didn't have that problem with the past couple of episodes; I love Kahlan to bits and I'm so glad she didn't rape Richard--because that's what it would have been. I like how consistent the show is with the ethical horror underlying Confession.

I kept thinking if this was SPN there would have been so much wank over this episode! Even my husband was like that wasn't rape! And I was like it could have been!

I was waiting for him to call her out on it and I'm glad they talked about it a little. The books make being confessed so much worse because it never leaves. Once you're confessed it's for life even if the confessor dies.

But the book also had a work around so Richard and Kahlan could be together. It also helped when the books started Kahlan was already the last confessor alive.

Legend has really kicked it up a notch, yes! I enjoyed Season One as a guilty pleasure, but was not sure if I'd watch more. Season Two has been making my decision for me!
