It's getting towards that time of year again, so I'm now soliciting prompts for Eight Crazy Nights. You provide fandom/s, character/s, pairing/s if you like, and something else--words, lyrics, tropes. Starting on the first night of Hanukah, I will post drabbles or, if inspiration strikes, something longer, just like last year. I'll do crossovers, timestamps for past stories, or anything else I can make work. Along with the usual suspects (SV, SPN, Buffy, XF) I will try anything I think I can do. Contenders include Chuck, Gossip Girl with appropriate characters (hint: Blair Waldorf must pie; Jenny Humphrey must die), and My Own Worst Enemy. Multiple prompts are fine; I'll just see what I can get to.

ETA: Prompts need not be Hanukah-related.

\o/!!!

Dean/Sam or Dean/Castiel! Preferably with any angst resolved happily! Double preferably Dean/Castiel resulting in Dean/Sam!

Oh, oh, or or - timestamp Double Cross, sometime later, Dean and Sam (Dean/Sam, whatev - where you want to take them).

I'm shocked, shocked to find you betraying your OTP, even temporarily! I'll see what I can do.

I know! But I've said, if Show doesn't give me what I need, I become vulnerable to a hostile OTP takeover. I've even been reading Merlin fic. At least D/C keeps me in the same fandom.

I watched the first episode of Merlin, couldn't get into it. Did I make a mistake? (I was way late to the SPN party.)

Not really. But I really enjoy how much Merlin resembles Peter Wingfield and I've found some very good fics.

Also, the M/A bond has won the show a huge gay following, and the producers say they intend to develop M/A much further, so I expect more. They already have a dragon that told Merlin that he and Arthur are each others' destiny and are two halves of a whole, or something. Fandom calls him the slash dragon.

Try a couple more. Most people who are going to like it, by the fourth episode, are all, OH. THAT.

Squee! :)

Okay, how about:

Chuck - Chuck/Bryce - pretending to be gay

Smallville - Clark/Lex - darkness descends on Metropolis

From: [identity profile] lomedet.livejournal.com

*bounces*

Buffy - Willow Rosenberg - "Who can retell the things that befell us? Who can count them?"

or

SV - Clark + Lex (or Clark/Lex) - "When you choose the lesser of two evils, always rememember that it is still an evil." - Max Lerner

From: [identity profile] ladydey.livejournal.com

SV - Lex/Clark, Undercover reporting at a car show

SV - Lex/Clark, "You didn't have to hide from me that you were sick"

SPN - Sam/Dean, "It's the end of the world as we know it"

I would sell close relatives to see you take a crack at Chuck/Blair. I would like to know what they would get each other for Christmas, esp. this year, when things are so odd between them. What do you get the girl/guy who has everything? Would it be a deed, or an object? Would the present perhaps be sentient? I'd love to hear your take on it.

**Wanders off to find those cousins of mine who are just sitting about uselessly**

It occurs to me that this is a Hanukkah prompt, so perhaps the Christmas present subject is inappropriate? Unspecified Holiday gifting, then. I know Blair's birthday is in late November, and the show didn't tell us what Chuck's present was this year. Last year it was that gorgeous diamond necklace, but perhaps this year he would be more creative?

Christmas presents are fine! I'm glad I asked early though because this is a question that needs pondering.

From: [identity profile] chase820.livejournal.com

Glad it intrigues you! :D

Oops, hit "post" too soon.

The concept of gifting takes on a whole new dimension, I think, when money really is no object. That's when it really does become all about the thought, because you know the person involved could buy anything they damn well pleased. So how do you please?

It's an idea the show's runners played with last season with Serena/Dan, but that scenario was really all about class differences, where she could afford anything and he could not. I'm much more interested in seeing how Blair and Chuck would handle this state of affairs. Of course, I'm far more interested in Blair/Chuck than Serena/Dan in general.

Okay, I'm just going to throw this one out there -- one of the 66 seals from SPN is in Metropolis. Lex has it and he intends to keep it.

From: [identity profile] rivkat.livejournal.com

Hee--I can so imagine Lex saying "The apocalypse will happen when I say it will and not one moment sooner."
ext_1890: (Default)

From: [identity profile] svmadelyn.livejournal.com

Hmmm. You know, that would actually make for a *fun* cross-fandom challenge. There's what, 666 seals according to Anna, right? That's a *lot* of fandoms. *g*
ext_2511: (Default)

From: [identity profile] cryptoxin.livejournal.com

I would totally be down with that, especially if someone wrote an Ugly Betty fic which somehow required everyone from SPN posing as fashion industry types to get their hands on the seal. *g*

How about way old-school: a month after Deny Nothing (http://www.rivkat.com/cms/index.php?set=fiction&story=64)?

From: [identity profile] rivkat.livejournal.com

A million years ago, I had a sequel started, but I lost the file between computers and all I remember now is that it featured jealousy of Diana Fowley and a Pinky and the Brain joke. I'll see what I can do.

From: [identity profile] pinkfinity.livejournal.com

Ooooh, Chuck flashing on something Hanukkah related would be fantastic, with a thousand bonus points if Bryce is somehow involved! Three million bonus points if fellow Stanford drop-out Sam Winchester is in the Buy More at the same time. :D

From: [identity profile] cellia.livejournal.com

Oh cool!

Supernatural prompt of "meeting old friends" alone or with:

Sam/Dean (or gen with Sam and Dean), first-born
Dean/Castiel (or gen with Dean and Castiel), hierarchy
Pamela (the now-blind psychic), colors and/or meeting old friends
Knight Moves 'verse, ipod

kinda Hanukah-related prompts:

Cheesy or no, I love "miracle of the oil" stories (things lasting longer than they should). My 1st thought is gas in the Impala, but that may be too literal.

Sarah Blake being awesome in a story. Bonus: it involves art. (I read her as probably Jewish, even though who knows.)

From: [identity profile] cellia.livejournal.com

Forgot to add:

Sam/Dean (other additional pairings cool), The Lady, or the Tiger?

From: [identity profile] mangokulfi.livejournal.com

Dean POV in Double Cross verse.

Dean/Castiel with side of jealous Sam.

Please and thank you.

From: [identity profile] jackycomelately.livejournal.com

More No Such AU? Could be holiday related as in how does SpyLex! celebrate the holidays and what would they buy each other? All the better if it involves eight gifts! Doesn't have to be holiday related obviously. I just love your SV with the force of a thousand burning yellow suns and that one in particular.

From: [identity profile] jakrar.livejournal.com

SV: Clark/Lex -- Against all expectations, Lex saves the world.

SPN: Dean/Sam, Dean/Castiel -- When it's time to choose, he chooses Dean. ('He' being either Sam or Castiel...or both.)

Chuck: Chuck/Casey -- There are worse things than falling for a geek.

My Own Worst Enemy: On the bright side, he finally understands Edward.

Hi, I couldn't find your e-mail, so I wanted to touch base with you here at the very lease. In all my time doing Sweet Charity, I've never been late, but for some reason, this video is taking me longer than the others I made. I hope it doesn't upset you too much to wait a bit longer for it? Hopefully it'll be worth your while. :D

From: [identity profile] rivkat.livejournal.com

I totally understand! I'm pretty darn late on an auction-related assignment myself. Please take the time to be happy with it.
