Stone knives and bearskins

Cable is out, thus I am reduced to dialup. It never ceases to amaze me how fast I become spoiled by technological improvement. Using this old laptop makes me groan in impatience as it takes a laborious, oh, 20 seconds to launch an application when my G5 pops it up, and using dialup -- let us not speak of it.

But I had to pay for an eBay purchase or risk the dreaded negative feedback, and while I was here I just wanted to say that I saw Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow and ( spoilers )
