I realize that I don't know as many of you all as I thought I did. Someday, perhaps after I grade my exams, I will read everybody's LJ, but for now I'd really love to get to know you better -- in a way that requires less effort on my part. So, how's about it? Also, should I review more books or fewer? What about music and movies? I'm unbudgeable on the fic, so those of you who aren't here for that are just going to have to skip it.

ETA: Specific questions about you:

What do you like to talk about?

I'm guessing we're mostly media fans, so what are your fandoms?

Would Superman take Batman, or would Batman beat Superman? (I have a very strong opinion on the latter.)

I still think Batman would win. :D

Roswell was a very frustrating show to try to be a fan of. Personally, I loved just about every character-- the show had a real gift for letting the kids be flawed and selfish and antagonistic and stubborn, but still understandable and sympathetic, even characters you didn't think you'd originally feel for, like Tess and Isabel and Kyle. And the relationships, too... Liz and Maria's real best-girlfriends vibe that you just never see on TV, and Michael and Maria's chemistry, and the whole Inspector Javert / Jean ValJean thing that Max and Jim Valenti had going on, first season. *sigh*

The main glitch for me was how it was just so *incredibly* uneven in quality. I'd get frustrated and stop taping, and then I'd give it one more chance and they'd have a fabulous episode and I'd be all "Yay!" and start taping again just in time for a long run of suck. None of the overall arc plots ever made *any* sense, and after a while it just became obvious that the writers were just pulling stuff out of their butt 'cause they didn't even *care*. Still, I was occasionally tuning in even at the start of the third season-- I remember watching Roswell's pilot, because it was on the Tuesday before the Smallville pilot, and thinking, "Dammit, that sucked. I hope this Smallville show is good, 'cause I really, really need something better in this time slot." :D
