This script is not great, but it delivers the Lex I like. After a Lexian rant about how humanity should choose its own destiny, for good or ill, Superman says, "This is a manipulation, Lex."
Lex: "Yes. Of course. That doesn't make it not true."
And that, for me, is Lex: truth in the service of his own aims. ETA: Also, everyone should watch Kevin Smith talking about his ill-starred time attached to the Superman movie. I found it here. He's hysterically funny.
