rivkat: Rivka as Wonder Woman (claire)
([personal profile] rivkat Mar. 17th, 2007 02:43 pm)
Three different fandoms, one song.  It's probably not a great idea to watch them all at once, but the contrasts are quite intriguing because of the different meanings and different relationships illustrated by "sometimes it feels like/you don't have a body."  I also particularly like the three different interpretations of "try to speak American."

Heroes (Peter):

Firefly (River/Mal/Serenity -- well, that last one is my interpretation, but isn't she necessarily part of them?):

SPN (Sam or Sam/Dean, your choice):

I looked at the third one and I can't get into the vid because of the vidder's name right *there* during the whole thing :(

Going over now to look at the Firefly vid...

Happened by here EXTREMELY randomly -- and yeah, I agree. I'm the artist in question, and all I can say is that it was a style experiment. *face/palm*

Ah! I thought it was because maybe there was rampant clip stealing in the SPN fandom. I was way off on that assumption then. Thank you for the insight.

I'm sure there is that, too, with as many videos that are posted each day. One day I'm going to remake that video because: a. the tag you mentioned, b. dimension issues c. I hate a few of my clip choices in it. Then again, there are quite a few videos from my earlier days that I'd like to remake. That one I'm mostly satisfied with at least. And luckily it's the only video I've ever tagged like that.

No problem. It was weird how I found this, so I figured it was fate giving me a chance to explain myself. :)

Insomniac vid-watching, here I go!

Yay, a song-based vid rec! I love that it promotes both songs I've never heard of and shows I've never seen vids of. I don't know if I want to spoil myself of Heroes (haven't watched it yet), but the lyrics of the song makes the character whom the vid is about intriguing. Thanks. *spins away happily to download*

Heroes is amazing, though the dialogue could be a lot better. I think the vids make for some interesting contrasts.
