In case you haven't seen any of the latest pop science on the subject, this article contains some great discussion, though you could skim the transcripts. I especially love the straight-talking researcher who discussed within-group variation and how much of what it means to be a woman is defined by what kind of woman you're not.

I saw this article earlier today -- I loved that researcher, but I was utterly weirded out by her title as the Rupert Murdoch Professorship in Communications.
