Ben Browder, fanboy

How much do I love that in this interview (I consider the page spoiler-free, though Tapping and Judge do comment generally on their character arcs, mainly from last season), Browder uses "shiny" to mean "good"? I cannot explain the pure and intense quality of my love for Firefly, but it burns stronger now than ever.

Also, who was it who said of SGA, "What if they had a fandom and everybody came?"

Here's the thing: Though Sheppard is dead sexy, and the actor's interviews are witty in all the right ways, he just looks too much like everybody's slacker ex-boyfriend for me -- I could never stand the slackers anyway. I see the attraction, I even understand the attraction, I just don't feel it. I watch the show and read the fic, since everybody and her sister is doing it, but unless I get hit with some sort of Ronon- or Teyla-based brainwave, I don't see it happening.
