Guess who's going to have her article in the December 2004 Yale Law Journal? Well, they're making me call it an essay, but it's still a damn good thing. I'm very, very happy!

I've decided I need an animated icon showing my love for redheaded, socially isolated geniuses. I've got Scully, Lex, Willow, and Davis (Tru Calling). I've reluctantly decided that neither John Crichton nor Daniel Jackson qualify. Any other suggestions?

Congratulations, you big brain! I'm blanking on redheads other than the ones you mentioned, but I'll keep thinking.

BTW, you might want to friends-lock this post, if you're concerned about your real identity getting out. I doubt there will be too many essays in that issue of YLJ.

Congratulations on the article! Great news.

I don't suppose that Pendrell qualifies as a genius??? nah....

Congratulations, I am so excited for you!!

Would Jean Grey count?

Markus! Is a redheaded socially isolated genius.

And I had some more ideas, but, as always, as soon as Markus entered my consciousness, everything else went out the window.

Mmmmm, Markus. *g*

Congratulations! Just remember to be socially responsible; do good citation yourself and don't dump it all on the poor student editors. ;)

Oracle! AKA Barbara Gordon, of the DC universe.

Congrats on the publication!

Fannish request: any redheads in the Batman universe? Or am I just remembering Barbara Gordon from the TV series?

From: [identity profile] herewiss13.livejournal.com

Barbara Gordon is true comic cannon. She started as Batgirl, took a bullet in the spine from the Joker, and now, wheelchair bound, serves as _the_ anonymous information specialist to DC universe from her techno-laden clocktower. Codename: Oracle, she is uber-hacker and data broker extraordinary, coordinating virtually all metahuman activity on Earth. Often shows up in JLA and Batman comics and has her own comic series with Black Canary known as "Birds of Prey" (upon which the uber-short-lived WB series was "losely" based).

Ta-dah! More than you ever, _ever_ wanted to know. ;-)

Such awesome news! Congrats!

Congrats!

And I'm betting that Danny Partridge is not the socially isolated genius type that you were looking for.

From: [identity profile] rivkat.livejournal.com

Thanks! I think she fails the "socially isolated" part of the definition.

From: [identity profile] rivkat.livejournal.com

Thanks! I have to admit, Danny Partridge did not cross my mind when I thought of the category.

Re: Keats' hair color?

Hmm. Any pictures? Because I need to make an icon, see.

I'll send you the article. And call soon. We're moving at the end of May, so if you're in NY before then or DC after, we can get together.

Thanks! No, I don't think he does, and anyway I figure Scully covers the XF pretty well.

I don't remember him being redheaded. Any pictures? (Also, he might not be socially isolated. That's the problem with Jean Grey, suggested above.)

Just a question on the sly - would you ever consider writing Farscape?

How 'bout Claire Fisher from Six Feet Under?

Also, KC (Marg Helgenberger) in China Beach.

I suppose Lucille Ball only goes two for three, though.

You know, I've never considered it simply because I've never felt dissatisfied enough. I suppose, depending on what the miniseries does, it's a possibility, but not likely now.

oh wow, that's quite impressive!! can yo utell us about the article?

From: [identity profile] rivkat.livejournal.com

It's about copyright law: the good things that plain old copying does for people, and the problems that fair use is causing for First Amendment law.

Eee, tremendous congratulations!

And my immediate redhead thought was Oracle, which I see has already been covered.

Congratulations!

Christopher Eccleston might qualify when he plays the Doctor.

Well, a lot of students at the law school know it anyway...
