I don't mean to nitpick, Tom, but is this really your plan?

I don't think there's any mandated reading--I think of the fangirl as very self-aware, knowing that she's playing out a fantasy and enjoying it as fantasy, and getting to control things because it's a fantasy. My take is: other people get fantasies too--Joss Whedon got to put several of his on screen--and here's this fangirl's version; she doesn't have to accept the version she's given.
