For what it's worth, I really liked the Ukiah Oregon books. I won't claim they are Great Literature or anything, but I liked the characters and plots. They had an oddly fannish feel to them, for reasons I was never able to figure out.
Sadly, I have not liked anything else of hers I've read anywhere near as much. And Wolf Who Rules, the sequel to Tinker, was a hot mess.
