The Smallville Slash Archive is going to be the first Open Doors archive on the AO3, coming soon.  I'm really glad this big part of my fannish history won't disappear.

I'm so so happy about that! We can't save the ones that are gone already, but that's a big one to save for the future. \o/\o/

It's excellent.

I know there's been a bit of dissention amongst some authors about permission etc. but in general, it's a great step forward for fanworks.

It's also an ending of sorts - there probably aren't going to be individual fandom-specific archives all that much in the future, which is slightly sad. But that aside, it's excellent.

I mind two or three archives that I should contact the OTW about getting them uploaded in the same way as the SSA. Even just as a backup.
