Yeah, right after I made the comment I went back and read the link you provided to someone else's comments that I missed the first time around, which made some of the situation a little clearer. Still, just because an author's aware of a problem doesn't mean that they're not perpetuating it. As interesting as the worldbuilding sounds, I still think I'll have to give this one a miss.
