I'm glad I finally managed to get around to reading this!
He'd considered Diana, but he preferred to be the one who added a sense of mystery to a relationship.
I love everything about this line, and what it says about both Diana & Alex.
Alex had a specialized jammer that would reflect a natural-sounding mix of night noises, disguising low conversation.
That is an awesome gadget! I want one even, and it's not like I'm a spy in my off hours.
The idea of Alex free-associating while going down on people is quite the image. And his random stream-of-consciousness throughout the whole piece is entertaining.
Was that man really wearing just a lightbulb over his cock
*blinks* Wow, now that's an image burned into my brain forever.
"So you have to ask yourself," punctuated by the flick of her lighter and the flame that was cooler than her eyes, "what would I get out of allowing you the power to make such a revelation?"
I haven't read the original - this is definitely an interesting (and yes, badass) Scully.
& bonus Mulder/Skinner moment, yay!
Those tanks of fetuses/hybrids never get any less creepy - interesting idea to have them be Krycek's.
I am sad for no Scully/Krycek/Mulder, though this way makes perfect sense for the characters & the story. I'll just pretend they got together later. :)
