Yuletide draft achieved! It still needs a ton of work, but that’s doable. Among the best writing advice I ever received was that a bad first draft is your best friend. A bad first draft means there can be a final draft. And 20 pages of livelongnmarry! Bad first draft on that possibly tomorrow! And my Eight Crazy Nights prompts are moving, though some more slowly than others. This is all storing up writing fat for the spring semester, because I'm not going to be able to write much fiction until, say, May or possibly June after this.

In other news: I was reading Livia’s latest DCU fic, and it clarified for me the existence of yet another bulletproof kink of mine: nobody’s wrong, or “the opposite of a profound truth is often another profound truth.” That’s why I like enemies, and Mulder/Scully.

Things I would love you forever for providing:
1. astolat’s prison story. Sigh.
2. A story in which Dean Winchester builds a car parts incubator. He doesn’t even have to hold the baby after. Just build it an incubator. But, uh, not out of the Impala, okay?
3. Firefly: Jayne/River in which the rest of the crew all cringe away in horror while Jayne seems vaguely to appreciate what he’s got. Also River beats up the bad guys who choose to run towards her instead of towards Jayne.
4. Sam/Castiel conduitfic.
5. Sarah/Chuck/Casey, fuck or die.
6. Chuck/SPN crossover, with one or more of the following: Sarah puts Dean on his ass; Chuck/Dean (Dean now having replaced Lex as the guy I give you if I like you, cf. my Lex/Willow UST and Dean/Willow); Chuck performs a ritual and it works; Sam and Dean join C/S/C in a spy caper.
7. Multifandom vid to Peaches' Two Guys. Alternatively, an Alias vid to Code Monkey, Weiss POV; having the girl be Sydney would go a long way to redeem the bad gender politics of this song, which I love despite its bad gender politics.
8. The extended remix of the already fantastic, stuck-with-me-all-month Sea Lion with the extra verse that's about, inter alia, John and the YED and even more angst for Dean.

I love Chuck! Chuck is all that is right with the world. Why isn't there more OT3 Chuck fic? Or a vid of Sarah to "Short Skirt, Long Jacket"?

You know, I have no idea! I thought there would be a lot more fannish interest in Chuck because it's surprisingly funny and at the same time angsty. It's quickly becoming one of my favorite shows. Actually, at this point it's can't miss tv for me.
