First, a great fannish optical illusion.
The books I am reading: Ha-Joon Chang, 23 Things They Don’t Tell You About Capitalism; Karen Marie Moning, Bloodfever; a couple of law review articles; Lyn Mikel Brown et al., Packaging Boyhood.
The book I am writing: I'm currently writing a RoboSam/Dean story.
The book I love most: Yeah, right. Okay: Barbara Hambly, Ishmael. I could recite large chunks; it’s an unauthorized crossover; it has Kirk & Spock emo porn. I could hardly ask for more.
The last book I received as a gift: I can’t remember, but probably some mainstream fiction for Hanukah that I haven’t looked at yet. These days I am very slow to get around to physical books unless I’m dying to read them; the ebooks are so comparatively simple to lug around.
The last book I gave as a gift: I gave my husband several books by Kristin Luker for his birthday.
The nearest books on my desk: I’m on my couch, and the Chang, Roberta Rosenthal Kwall, The Soul of Creativity (which I am supposed to review for real), Wen Spencer, A Brother’s Price, and Patricia Briggs, Wolfsbane, are on the end table next to me. But then the ebooks are even closer to the extent that they’re on my lap.
The last book I bought myself: the Moning, if you count ebooks; the Spencer otherwise. (I am also a bit disorganized, which is why the relatively recently arrived Briggs and Spencer are on the end table instead of downstairs in the large bookcase of unread books.)
Also, this is my new Damon Salvatore imaginary vid song.
ETA: okay, I can't decide: best explanation ever, or worst? Jones maintains that nothing sexual happened—the other sailor, Brian McGee, only came by to watch "The Vampire Diaries" when they both fell asleep.
