I found it interesting that he read "Closer" as a "cool" work, as opposed to a "hot" or "warm" work in its emotional orientation to the source material. He considers most fannish creations to be hot or warm. Along with this emotional temperature thing, which reflects a discussion I've seen among vidders, Jenkins succinctly sets forth various fannish debates about openness, YouTube, and the like.
