My overall love is infinite, but there are places where it breaks through to higher orders. Obviously, "routine maintenance." And the Impala's disdain for a loser machine that can get sick.
Also: how Dean, unlike John, holds nothing back. John's focus on the car is about John doing things right. Dean's focus is about -- oh, Dean.
How the burdens John put on Dean are so obvious, and how Dean doesn't even have the ability to wonder about alternatives.
How she talks to Dean even though he can't hear. How she wants to rock and roll.
How she slowly learns about death.
How she thinks of humans in terms of car structures.
How it's exotic to be weaker than Sam.
How Sam's ruthlessness at the end is so obvious to us and so irrelevant to her.
How she won't admit she can cry because that's not what Winchesters do.
In conclusion: brothers! And Impala!
The first of my Eight Crazy Nights posts is coming soon. To do this right, I actually need four more prompts. Want to know what happened before/after any of my existing stories? I'll give it a try.

No slash required (though appreciated). You know how much I like crossovers and I'd just like to hear these two spar verbally a bit. It doesn't even necessarily have to be a consultation: just a conversation would be enough. But consultation seemed the most likely meet-up scenario in my head.
If you feel like trying it, I'd love to see what you'd come up with for these two.
