The last theory -- the Intersect was so important that Bryce had to drag Chuck back in -- would definitely work for me, if the show can figure out why the Intersect couldn't be left in CIA/NSA hands but Chuck could be. If they pull it off, that would actually hit some of my favorite tropes about self-sacrifice, especially if/when Chuck gets to decide whether to keep it in his head.
