I don't actually have an entry worthy of that title, but the phrase got stuck in my head. The word always seems a little too ... twee? for me, like many words that end with a long "e," not to mention that I also tend to think "give the woobie what he wants," which is not quite the right context, and yet I understand it so perfectly.
If anybody's looking for me over the next few days, I'll be on the second floor of the Cambridge Rindge & Latin High School, at the top of the stairs in the main cafeteria. Drop in and say hi; I'll be the one surrounded by angry judges, parents and teachers, smiling my yearly quota of smiles. Really, I think the reason I'm such a bitch much of the time is because I use up most of my niceness during these four days. Anyone who wanted to be nice to me could actually write something appropriate to "explain to me the scientific nature of the woobie" or "give the woobie what he wants."
Also, it turns out the new story is another invasion story. I never knew I had this kink until Smallville. The things you learn on the WB are just amazing.
