Who the hell are all these green and purple folks white people are always talking about?

What I want to know is why no one ever speaks out about the invisibility of the infrared.

Hey. Is that some kind of racist remark about underground Native Americans?

I have nothing against infra-Americans. Some of my best friends would be infra-Americans, if I could see them.

*icon love*

And their insistence on only talking about mono-colour people--where does leave the striped ones? Talk about oppression!

(I'm still reeling from all the plantive whining about racism against white folks...sort of like the guyz on feminist blogs whining about how mean women are to them and they're such nice guys TM!)

Thanks! [livejournal.com profile] justabi made it for my birthday! It's an Alex Ross painting of Lynda Carter as WW.

And you know there's a good reason for ignoring the striped ones on a first cut -- the old adage "if you hear hoofbeats, think horses, not zebras." If prodded, we can talk striped -- but honestly, it's not that big a problem.

I don't know -- maybe if you take the rss part off the end? I'm a Salon subscriber, but you should be able to see it if you're willing to skip past an ad.

I'm glad the story still brings pleasure!

This is a dumb place to put this question, but I figured you, if anyone, would know --

If you post something you've found elsewhere on the 'net, and you *don't know who originally wrote it* because it's one of those essays that just gets passed around, and you don't indicate in any way that you didn't write it yourself, is that plagiarism?

From: [identity profile] rivkat.livejournal.com

I would call it plagiarism, because the expectation is that you wrote things you post unless you signal otherwise with explicit attribution or links. But if it's something really well-known (like a Shakespeare quote) I wouldn't call it that, because the quote marks are implied.
