Wow, and I've been feeling bad for not having read Haraway. Despite mentally grouping her with annoying people who understand little about technology but like to write about it anyway and think it makes them sound cool. Not that I have a chip on my shoulder, or any firsthand experience to justify such a classification. ;)
Personally, I don't think dislike of bad writing makes one a cultural conservative. And that paragraph? I feel comfortable calling it bad writing.
