Oh. Cool. I hung out with Matt in college and he wrote Fool on the Hill for an independent study. We were pretty impressed when it actually got published. Most of the characters were inspired by folks in our (very, very weird) dorm. Haven't seen him since he graduated, though. I didn't know there was a new book. I might check it out.

(*) Personal anecdote! I was raised entirely on literary fiction by literary-fiction-snob parents, but I am considering pursuing SFF writing as a career because of the friendships with pro SFF writers that I've grown over a few years of LJ.
