200 pages was a lot further than I got. I agree about the doormat problem. Where was healthy suspicion, I ask you?
As I said, I liked Watchers, though Strangers is probably my favorite. Christopher Snow didn't move me. I haven't seen the Baroque Cycle, but I'll keep an eye out. It's always sad when an agenda overrides an author's sense of character and plot. People are much more complicated than their politics, usually.
