I don't mean to nitpick, Tom, but is this really your plan?

I mean, there could be other design workarounds for that (e.g., a special Imported top-level tag treated like an Archive tag, or even human tagging--each with its own interpretive problems)--but my main point is just that IMO a serious discussion would set out the reasons for the current system and then suggest what the alternative would look like. I think it would have helped the critique to say outright that AO3 was designed creator-first; in her narrative "users" are primarily audiences, not creators.
