rivkat: Smallville: nice is different than good (nice is different than good)
([personal profile] rivkat Jan. 2nd, 2004 11:59 pm)
Terrible, terrible headache. Nonetheless, I invite you to view I Know Things Now, 7 mb QuickTime movie (and yes, it's smaller than the ones I made before, by a long way). It's a little love letter to Season 1 of Smallville. And being with [livejournal.com profile] yahtzee63 made me think I ought to finish up a story or two before the season starts up again, so perhaps it will be a multimedia weekend.

Comments welcome; I'll probably be tinkering with this again and again.

Oh, so sorry about the headache. Sadly, I've been feeling your pain for a few hours myself. Yick! But I love, love, love the vid! I'm not familiar with the song or where it's from, but it's perfect, and you did an outstanding job wedding the images to the lyrics. Gobs of fun! Good job. :)

Oh, I forgot to mention, but for me the audio stutters a bit. I have the latest version of Quicktime and my computer is fairly new, so I'm not sure if it's on my end or not. At any rate, I still love it. lol

Thanks! And thanks for the card, which I have yet to successfully open, which is why I haven't said more.

It could easily be my problem: I started with an mp3 and I'm not sure that's ideal. And, I forgot to mention, the song is "I Know Things Now," from the end of Act I of Sondheim's Into the Woods, a great musical.

Hee. NP. I've received several cards, and I can't open mine either. I'm guessing hallmark.com must be swamped right now. lol

Well, it took me half an hour to get QuickTime to work, but it was worth it. Why yes, SV *is* a fairy tale! Charming, and I liked the image/lyric matchups.

The audio stuttered on my end, too.

this was so great! smart, funny, sweet or sad depending on the lyric/visual and it cycled through those emotions very nicely. I have a huge soft spot for the first season, aka the flirtation / getting to know you era, and this was a lovely homage to it. The innocence of the singer's voice is fabulous when paired to young Clark. thanks for sharing!

Oh, I love it. Somehow it was funny, sad, and very poignant all at the same time. The song choice was just brilliant; it fit the characters in a way that I really hadn't thought of before, and you picked the right images to show the meaning of the lyrics. I really hope that you do more vids, since this was just brilliant. *g*
