Thank you! My own opinion is that the YED lost control, but it's still unclear whether his/Lucifer's ultimate plan will be carried out--in my imaginary extension of this, John is available to be the righteous man who breaks in Hell. (I'm still not over how this show's definition of righteousness allows deals with demons, killing innocents, etc.)
