I'm so pleased with this ending, with the whole story really. I can sympathise with Dean's anger and hostility at the end while still believing that Sam did the right thing at the time.
And I liked the distinction you made about how Sam resented the lack of choices so much in his life that it bled over into hating The Life without ever really thinking it through. How he *could* be happy hunting if other things weren't holding him back. Or at least, that's how I read it:)
