I'm glad you enjoyed them! It's an interesting challenge to myself, to write enough to fill out eight nights' worth.
If Dean had more self-esteem, he'd be (more) insufferable. And you put it perfectly: he might not be pointing exactly north, but you can always orient yourself by him.
