1. The Middleman wins my heart all over again: creator Javier Grillo-Marxuach says “we wanted the show to pass the Bechdel test.” In some sense it’s a low standard, but! He knows there’s a test! And the show passed it! Also, for those of us who can’t wait for the graphic novelization of the unfilmed thirteenth episode, the full cast did a table read at Comic-Con. The sound is not great, which means you miss some of the snappy dialogue, but most of it is present—and it is really hilarious to hear most of the actors get their lines right on the first try despite the high preposterousness quotient.
