I figured Bryce gave him the Intersect info because of his phenomenal ability to read subliminal imaging etc. i.e. Just the average joe at Starbuck's wouldn't be able to handle having Intersect in his/her head. It looks like tthey plan on continuing to go places with the Bryce backstory, why he stole the Intersect in the first place, etc. But yeah, weird. Any port in a storm? Or Bryce felt Chuck was so needed that it overrode his desire to protect him?
