Gay Batman watercolors served with cease & desist letter. The pictures are still on the Artnet site for now -- some are not work-safe.

These are all apparently "Gay Batman watercolors," though most of the pictures are simply "nude Batman watercolors" -- the kiss/snuggling, both of which are portrayed clothed, make the solo nude portraits gay, I guess. Understandable in headline shorthand, of course, and consistent with the usual meaning of male nudes/males tantalizingly half-clothed, but still interesting to me.

Also of note: the hilarious, possibly made-up, first comment on the subject in Carrie McLaren's blog, insisting that BATMAN IS NOT GAY. Not even a little bit.

Does that picture look a bit "head pasted on"? And if so is it deliberate?

I don't know if it's very good art. The others (which you can see here (http://www.artnet.com/ag/fulltextsearch.asp?searchstring=mark+chamberlain)) look the same, so I think it's the artist's skill level.

OMG! Are you the RivkaT who wrote all those wonderful stories for The X-Files including Acadia and Tikkun Olam (which I by the way squealed when I saw because I'm Israeli and I was all "HEBREW LIEKWHOA!!five!11") that I totally stayed up reading until 5:00am, and was consequently rendered unable to discern between the words "morning" and "doorbell" at my workplace* the following day? Because you TOTALLY RULE, dude.

Indeed I am, and I'm glad you enjoyed the stories, though it's been a long while since the XF inspired me. In fact, I'm just now rewatching the show, now that my bitterness about later seasons has receded somewhat. I still love Scully & Mulder.

And about Tikkun Olam -- as you probably saw, the title was just a teensy bit ironic. Sorry about that.
