Should I be disturbed that my current het OTP is Christian Troy/Kimber Henry from Nip/Tuck? Although the show could not be slashier if it were S1 Smallville, Christian and Kimber are MFEO. The match may well have been made in Hell, but it's still perfect. I need a Kimber/Christian icon.

Kimber/Christian is a total OTP! They've always been hot together, but man they are so much hotter this season.

I caught the season premiere last night, and it was the first time I'd ever seen the show. I seriously thought for part of it that they actually were *canonically* boyfriends. I sort of love how it seems they're all just sleeping with each other. Canon threesomes, woohoo!

Huh, maybe it's because I missed about half of season 2, but I'm not feeling the Kimber/Christian love.

I am, however, feeling the love of Christian/whoever that new guy is who looked at his neck. That was actually more intimate than anything else that went on that hour and a half.

I often find the mirroring of the A & B plots in N/T to be heavy-handed (but effective); this time I really liked the mirroring of what Dr. Costas did with the detective's similarly intrusive/intimate handling of Christian's neck. Especially with Costas's line about "I bought you a drink," I'm thinking the slashy possibilities are only going to increase.

As for Kimber/Christian, I think you really do need to see them over S2 to feel that they are soulmates, to the extent that either one has a soul.

It's true that neither Kimber nor Christian have much of a soul to speak of, but I find Christian way more interesting than Kimber. She's fluff. They might be perfect for each other, but I just don't care. Christian needs a challenge. She's too easy, for all that she's a total psycho.

I love Christian and Kimber! I am truly surprised that she has actually been able to sustain her character as long as she has. When I first saw her, I was sure she wouldn't last at all, especially during the Wilbur storyline.

And the slashiness is just so obvious. When Sean and Christian were fighting in the operating room and Sean told Christian that he loved him more it was just so obvious then!

As for me, I desperately want to see some good slash pairing Christian with Sean. Anybody writing any...?

I'm not saying anything about Christian and Kimber, but... is there somewhere Nip/Tuck slash? If, then please, point me to right direction.

Btw, since I'm here now (I was surfing from lj to lj) I want to compliment your Smallville fics. I haven't read much from that fandom in recent months years, but when I did, I really liked your fics. Should probably re-read them and hey, you've probably written lots of new fics too.

Sadly, I'm not aware of any Nip/Tuck slash, but for some reason I don't feel the lack very much -- the show itself goes almost all the way to fulfill my slashy needs. But I suggest asking for it for the Yuletide rare fandoms challenge; I should do that too.

Thanks for the compliment! I haven't written much of late, but there are a few newer stories. Everything's at rivkat.com.

I agree with you, the show is plenty slashy. :) Frankly, I hadn't even thought of Nip/Tuck slash until this friend of mine wondered whether there is any (and if she should watch the show). I tried to explain that after watching the show, you don't need written slash.

I kept my promise and reread one of your fics. Randomly I picked Philadelphia and damn! I meant to send you feedback after reading it the first time, but somehow never got around to actually do it. Now I'm fixing that mistake, because that fic most definitely deserves it. It was that good.

It's actually one of my favorite fics in Smallville fandom. I like the darkness and Lex's ruthlessness and just his protectiveness, which manifests in a very Lex like way: destroy the danger. I'm not expert in Superman comics (or at all), but I think that's the kind of Lex you see there too, so your characterization of him - as dark as it is - is still surprisingly canon. Also, I liked the chem talk and the way he... incapacitated them, it was also very Lex.

Though I generally like darkfics, I love them in Smallville and I think it's because there the darkfics are more... they are not that far from canon, you know. It's plausible.

My god, I've babbled too much again. :) Still, I have one question: Have you written any Mulder/Krycek?

[identity profile] rivkat.livejournal.com 2005-10-05 02:09 am (UTC)(link)
Thanks -- it's always good to know that people remember my stories. I like Dark Lex too, and I'm hoping I'll get some new inspiration from this season. My remix story Conjoined Twins also features a fairly dark Lex.

The closest I ever got to M/K was Deny Nothing, which has M/K as something that happened in the past, but in the story-time Krycek ends up sleeping with someone very different.
