I live the American life

1. Little marshmallows are wonderful with hot chocolate.

2. I lost an extremely well-liked earring, one of a set Z. gave me several years back; this makes me sad.

3. For the approximate GDP of a small island nation, we bought a house! We're going to be poor, but at least Z. will have this stove to play with. It even vents into the back yard, so he can make pizza without setting off the fire alarm (which he's done in our NY apartment while making toast).

4. I travelled on ATA to Chicago earlier this week. The airplanes all have "The employees of ATA welcome you" written next to the door as you enter, and being the confirmed geek I am, I kept thinking "The employees of ATA are waiting for you." Unfortunately, the plane on the way back got most of the way to Newark, then turned around and went back to Chicago -- apparently they didn't have repair facilities in Newark, only in Chicago. I wasn't paying attention to the announcements, and we landed at about the right time, so I was damn surprised to find myself in Chicago again. I felt like the schmo in Speed: But I've already been to the airport!

Wow, it's a purty house. And look at those beautiful mature trees. Are you hyperventilating yet? When I closed on my condo, it took a while for it to hit me. About 48 hours later, I suddenly realized the huge commitment I'd made, and practically had an anxiety attack on the bus. Just letting you know what might be in store.

I believe the part about the GDP of the teeny-tiny country. Gorgeous house! Congratulations to you both.

Congrats on the house! looks just lovely (but will it have enough room for all the books???) - I'm looking forward to seeing it in person.

So where's the house?

Zach was saying you were doomed to Northern Virginia--- closer to good Vietnamese food, anyway. I too have flown ATA: I don't think they have a stick or a piece of chewing gum anywhere except Chicago-- that's why their flights are so cheap. (By the way, has anyone you know actually managed to read the Dick Clarke book? I've decided I should.) Off to Chicago (not on ATA)...

OMG! That is an adorable house! I love the brick. And the yard! You can plant flowers! It's so exciting.

Wowie!

Mazel tov! I can't wait to visit and sample some of the magicall things that Z can make on that fabulous stove.

With any luck, neither of you will become as obsessed with remodeling/redecorating plans as I have been since we became homeowners. Beware!
