…I have not watched SPN in like three years. But, thigh holster.

My thoughts exactly! Also, Dean in 1944 clothes. What is the title of this episode?

You can't force me to choose! I cannot choose.

For character-related purposes I may be more prone to 2014!Dean, but then I do think that actual Dean may be just a few steps away from being that broken just in a different way.

But-- I can't. It's like they're two facets of the same man. And in one we saw the end result while in the other we see the work in progress, all the stages. They're both hot? LOL

I'm worried what smashed by loss (especially if the next person he loses is Sam) will do to him, though. Will he become a shell of his former self? Will he put all his doubts and fears in a box and become this automaton only bent on a suicidal mission? What is he going become?

Got to go with thigh holster. But only because it won the coin flip.

Welcome to the most important ep of S7!

I think 2014!Dean is more beautiful, but I can't enjoy looking at him because he's so blatantly miserable. At least 1944!Dean was distracted. It takes just a touch of obliviousness for me to avoid seeing the darkness behind his smiles, and I can easily be that oblivious.

The shoulder holster did so many wonderful things for the lines of his torso and shoulders--which are *already* some of Ackles's nicest features, if you ask me, so it almost verged on gilding the lily--but the thigh holster defined his FRIGGIN' THIGH.

Which is why, in the final analysis, my response has to be NOOOOOOOOOO, YOU CAN'T MAKE ME CHOOSE. *refuses to take the poll*

13! Thigh! Because 1944, while very very pretty, isn't real. And has no Sammy. And also? Thigh!

That was a terrible choice to make! I finally settled on 1944 Dean, only because I can't resist Dean being a pop culture geek!

Glad you're caught up!

I chose 1944 only because in my head Sam got sucked back during the Chronos-killing spell and I get to see them both in the fedoras and shoulder holsters. :)

Tho I voted for 1944 because of the clothes really. When he came out in that nice tailored suit and the hat.. mmmm. Also, Dean having fun is my favorite flavor of Dean.

Narrative and story wise, 2014 Dean is much more interesting to me. But I can't resist the hat.

To be brutally frank, you had me at 'Dean: thigh.'
