was just discussing the not-readiness of fans for the spotlight @ bookshop's, at least some fans won't be comfortable with the idea, no matter how innocuous their practices might be (I mean, slash is pretty mainstream, but people still won't admit they are slashers to their non-fannish friends)...on the other hand, objectively there *is* more attention to fandom nowadays, and something has to be done about it.
