I totally get why some authors & audiences would explore aspects of gender at a remove, and I'm not sure I'd like a/b/o with realistic treatment of bias--at that point, why not just stick with men and women? Sometimes you need a fantasy. But yeah, I think realizing this helped me understand why it's generally not my fantasy.
