I've only seen about half the episodes of OUaT, but I was wondering if the stiffness of the dialogue was an artifact of trying to separate the Fairy Tale World from the Mundane World... but now I think the writing staff is just unusually clunky for some reason.

The Steve Jobs bio sounds interesting indeed, and I would definitely want a good bio of Bill Gates as contrast.
