One of my more recent stories, Subterranean Homesick Blues, involved what I thought of as a very slow pan down and swoop in: from an omniscient, almost C19 style to a very limited single POV; from London above to a tunnel deep in one of the stations; from emotional detachment to strong feeling.
Also, occasionally my betas yell at me for breaking a section where there'd be a commercial break in the show. ;)
