Welcome! I definitely believe incompetence trumps conspiracy, and does plenty of harm all on its own, but I really do want to read a book about what makes conspiracies succeed, at least for the medium term. (Have you read The Informant? It's a really good book about a price-fixing conspiracy and begins with a great explanation of why price-fixing is so bad for people.)
