Thank you! Part of what I love about Sam & Dean is that they can be diametrically opposed and each of them can be right, in their own way. I definitely think that Sam would like to give up hunting, but more than that he'd like to be able to make a choice that wasn't about revenge or survival. All else being equal, he'd choose not to hunt; but while he still had to take care of Dean, all else was not equal.
